Toluca won the Leagues Cup and the tournament is finished, so this page now tracks the two North American championships still being priced: MLS Cup and the Liga MX Apertura.

They are made very differently. MLS Cup lists 30 clubs and sums to 106.0%—six points of overround across a thirty-way field, which is tight. The Apertura lists 18 and sums to 113.0%—thirteen points across barely half as many teams. The Apertura board is the wider one by a factor of four per club.

Neither is being traded much against what it holds. MLS Cup carries $1,898,910 of lifetime volume and turned $26,513 today; the Apertura carries $644,008 and turned $13,638. Both are position books.

Where the money went today is the more interesting read. On MLS Cup, Vancouver is the favourite at 21.5% and took $1,073—almost the entire day's flow on the board's top four legs, against Miami's $189 at 20.5% and Nashville's $108 at 16.0%. Two clubs a point apart in price, and one took six times the money.

The Apertura is the opposite: flow spread evenly across the top three. America 22.5% on $3,233, Guadalajara 20.5% on $1,873, Toluca 19.5% on $1,751. The Leagues Cup champion is priced third in its own domestic league.

The conference races and the fixture list underneath them. With the Leagues Cup settled, the live questions here are the MLS conference titles, the Apertura, and the individual league fixtures—Vancouver against the LA Galaxy on September 9 ($7,568) and Cruz Azul against America on September 12 ($18,907), the largest club fixture on either board. Both conference boards are quoted against a December 25 MLS Cup settlement.

The 113.0% Apertura board is the loosest championship market on this workspace and has stayed that way through the Leagues Cup final. Eighteen clubs should not need thirteen points of overround; watch whether the Cruz Azul–America fixture on September 12 tightens it.
